My most favorite moment is when I met my wife. I remember vividly that night. I was on foot leaving the bank on payday. Across the street sat a McDonald. For some reason I had an urge for coffee. The thought crossed my mind, you could use a cup.
So I crossed the street and entered the brightly lit building with Arches. At the counter I saw a young woman waiting with her back facing me.
I place my order for a small cup of coffee, two splenda, no cream. I like mine black. The cashier said it would be a few minutes, a fresh batch was brewing.
In the corner stood a woman, young, easy on the eyes, but she looked angry and unapproachable. She’s probably married, i thought. I paid her no mine and looked away, letting my mind drift on other thoughts.
Then I heard her voice speaking to some one. an old man, at least late sixties was talking to her. The words on her tongue sounded like music. every syllable, had a harmony. I quickly hopped to my feet and took the moment to approach. Six years has passed and I still remember it like yesterday.
