I have a strong compulsion for sweets, especially natural sugars; the sweeter, the better. Being a diabetic doesn’t help; like alcohol is to a drunk, so is fruit for the sugar impaired. As I write this blog I can taste the sweet nectar of Mango rolling down my cheeks. The supple sweet flesh melting in my mouth and the syrupy flavor exploding my taste buds. Then there is the Watermelon, so crisp and sweet, each bite full of seeds and sweet water. After devouring, one’s belly is ready to explode. Plumbs are always lively in flavor. Tart with a sweet after taste, like a kick in the taste buds, leaving me begging for more. Strawberries follow in flavor, for me at least. I like the tart ones with surgery flavor. Most addictive are Grapes, natures candy. From green to purple, and all the hues of red. You take one in the mouth and before you know it, an entire cluster is gone. They are my favorite and run my blood sugars through the roof, but I cant help it, I’m addicted, that’s what us addicts do.
